Pepsico is claiming that it has achieved "positive water balance" in India, that it is "Giving Back MORE WATER Than We Take".
Wonderful as it may sound, Pepsico's claims of achieving "positive water balance" simply do not add up.

Pepsico, just like Coca-Cola, is attempting to create an image of itself as company that has a healthy relationship with water - because it knows very well that it faces the ire of communities across India as they plan their aggressive expansion.
Pepsico's "positive water balance" claim is a public relations exercise designed to blunt the growing criticism of its water practices in India.
